I have a Suzuki DTC 40 oil injection 1984 and I have damaged the carb. I need a replacement one but they are quite rare, or expesnive in the UK. Is it feasible to fit a similar carb such as one from a 1982-1985 engine instead?

Hi all. Just bought a dory (Boston whaler, I think in the US) with a 1980's DT40 pull start outboard. With info gleamed from this great forum, I have cleaned the carb, replace gear oil etc and if goes fantastic........ However. I have found on the CDI box that two cables which look like earth...
