Want to purchase an alternator (probably new and Marine) cannot find the corresponding one I need on the internet.
Existing #'s on the Prestolite alternator are:
Model # ALK6222AYS3T
and is listed as MARINE J1171.
It had 2 wires connected to it (2 diff. posts).
Goes in a 120HP I/O OMC, 1982, 4...
Have an 120 HP I/O 4 Cyl OMC (Renken 1982).

OK - see below, got the education ... now need to know alternator info.
Existing alternator is Prestolite Model ALK6222AYS3T with a Marine J1171 sticker on it.
Have googled like crazy.
Looking for today's Marine...
