Thanks you all. It has new plugs it looks like they check the thermostat. I'm going to drop the bottom in look at the impeller and do that before I have to tear anything else down I will check the temperature on it this weekend. Thank you all again
Picked up a boat with 1973 Evinrude 65 hp motor and got it running. Noted that almost every wire on it the outer casing was melted to the motor. Need some ideas to make sure that it doesn't over heat. How should I check it
