The boat is a bare bones 17 foot 1986 Olympic that weighs 1350 pounds. I would like to move the boat along at 25 to 30 mph. Is a 50 hp Honda or Yamaha enough horsepower to meet this goal? The load will generally be 2 adults and a 130 lb dog.
