    Onboard 2 cyl oil usage

    I bought a 1984 mariner 150 and the old owner never used the onboard gas tank or the onboard 2cyl oil tank, he just pre mixed Jerry cans and ran off that. My question is, if I go back to the onboard tank, how does the engine know to pull oil from the reservoir? Do I have to tell it?

    Tapping larger leg vent oil hole

    Has anyone ever tried or thought about making a larger lower unit leg vent hole so it can easily be filled from the top? Am i silly or am I on to something?

    mercury thunderbolt 500, what year, and running issues

    Serial number 7089672, what year is it? Also, when it runs fine, it runs great, but, often it will lose power under load after half throttle, does it have a fuel, pump, fuel filter? Its not too trimmed, ive tried giving it choke and pumping the ball when it does it and no help! PLEASE HELP!
