where do i attach the vacuum gauge to do a vacuum test on this engine. want to check for possible sticking valve (or not seating valve) and general engine health.
Which DP drive and transom assembly would be a direct swap for a 2003 XDP composite drive.
I was told if i use a DP-S drive and transom assembly i would have to do some transom glass work, i want to avoid this.
has anybody changed out their XDP drive.

Hi guys...have to put antifreeze mix in my FWC VP engine. Problem is it came with Propylene Glycol which of course i cant get here, so i have to completely flush the engine out with plain water then i can use Ethylene Glycol which i can get here.
How would you go about flushing the FWC side of...
I have the above engine on a stand and need advice on how to run it on engine stand out of boat.
Here is what i know:
1. Connect water cooling
2. Connect +ve battery cable to Starter lug
3. Connect -ve battery cable to Engine ground
4. Connect a separate +ve wire to purple wire on back of...
engine not started for a year. have replaced oil pan (had small leak) and replaced exhaust manifolds and risers. Put Mobil 1 engine oil in
did a compression test (engine has still not been started) all cylinders are at 210 - 220 psi except one cylinder is at 90.

Hi i would like to start the above while out of the boat how do i do this (i have the cooling water connection ok) i dont know how i should pressurize the fuel pumps for eg before starting.
Do i just connect the +ve to the +ve on the coil and ground the engine then jump the starter ??
