My dealer informed me that my 70 tldi is identical in all aspects to the 90 tldi EXCEPT for the ecu. He said it was possible to swap a 90 ecu into the 70 but said it was less expensive to initially buy a whole 90 motor because the price of the ecu outweighed the difference in price over the 70...
I have a 2003 70 hp tldi which has lately becoming very hard to start cold.
It will crank over and fire for a split second - repeatedly. I suspected fuel problems but fuel and air rail pressures are right at spec.
Since it's fuel injected I assumed that there is some sort of cold start system...
