Does anyone know what the Yamaha part no. is for a prop nut kit for a 2023 F60LB 60 hp outboard and what the normal torque would be for that size engine? The manual says 25 ft. pounds but when I removed the aluminum prop and replaced it with a stainless steel one it sure didn't seem to be that...
Well a new Yamaha on Amazon looks to run around $200-$250 but some of the aftermarkets are from $35-$90 just wondering if they would work just as well without the Yamaha name? Thought maybe someone on the forum might of used a aftermarket in place of a Yamaha at some time.
I have replaced my 98 Mercury 60 hp ELPTO with a Yamaha F60LB and would like to replace the tachometer which was a Mercury and has quite working some time ago. I was wondering if there is a decent aftermarket round tach that shows the RPM and hours that won't break the bank.
I have a 98 Mercury 60 hp ETPLO with a 13 spline stainless prop and am thinking about replacing it with a 2023 60 hp Yamaha motor and was wondering if by chance they would interchange? Also my prop is a Michigan "Raptor"
I have a 98 60hp ELPTO that I replaced the lower inner and outer oil seals plus the O ring as they were starting to leak water. After I got everything together and put the prop on I placed it in gear (not running) and when I would turn the prop I get a clicking sound when I turn the prop in...
I noticed the other day that my lower unit trim tab had broken off so I took it off to replace it. The part number on the bottom of the tab is 17264C-1 and I can't seem to find it online, was just wondering if it has been superseded by a newer number? My motor is a 1998 60 hp elpto ser. no...
I have a 1998 Mercury 60hp 2 stroke ELPTO and was wondering if there is a certain type or weight of gear oil to use in the lower unit? Any help is appreciated.
I have a 98 60hp Mercury that seems to hesitate once in a while when I first start to add power. As I increase power 1/3-1/2 throttle it smooth out and I can run full power without a miss for as long as I want. I changed plugs a few days back and noticed that the no. 1 cly. had a little more oil...
Does anyone know what the size of pipe threads are on the nylon-plastic elbow that comes from the water jacket on a 1998 Mercury 60hp. 3 cyl engine and connects to the hose that goes to the tell tail? Also would there be any problem by just using a straight pipe nipple and going right through...
I have a 98 Merc. 60 hp. electric ELPTO and was wondering which way the thrust washer goes for sure. I have always instaled it with the belved side towards the gear case and flat side towards the prop but it seems like after two-three years I have to replace it as it has worn. Is this natural...
