I cannot get the lower unit to come off. I've got all the bolts out and it's split about a 1/2 inch and it comes to a dead stop. Anything that I'm missing here? Anything else to disconnect? I want to be sure before I smack it really hard!

What is the best way to adjust the reverse engagement? I've turned the nut on the shaft on the starter side of the motor but most of the time it'll just click when it tries to go in revesre. Also, can I delay when the throttle comes in. Any advice would be great! thanks a lot!
I'm trying to get the charging system working on my 1878 20 hp(200) electric start. I didn't have any voltage at first so I replaced the rectifier and now I have anywhere from 14-22 volts at the battery cables depending on RPM. Is this how it should be??? Seems like it should be regulated...
