I need to replace the impeller on my '89 9.9 sailpower. It has been years since I have removed the lower unit and I can't remember how I got it off. I cannot get the lower unit to drop off. I've tried in forward, reverse, neutral, but no luck. What am I missing? Does the shift rod come out...
