Here is my problem. I have a tilt tube system on a 1989 40 horse evenrude at high speeds it seems to be working fine but sitting still or at slow sped you almost need a pair of mules to move it. I have made sure all grease fittings have been greased. Any ideas?:confused:
Okay after reading the post on tilt and trim you have convinced me to go with power rather than replacing my manual assist. Not to mention that the cheapest manual assist I found was $340.00 plus shipping. My questions are can a shade tree mechanic do this at home or is it better to have it...
