    More horsepower out of 89 70hp

    I have a 1989 70hp merc and see that the 80 hp and 90 hp are the same bore and stroke. I was wondering if I can increase the hp on my 70 with just bolt items and/or little machine work. Curious to know how they increase the hp on the two. Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

    Enough Power?

    I got a 85 champion 18.5 ft. fish and ski free with a blown 150 black max. I have a good 88 70hp merc. Was wondering if it would have enough power to get the boat at least on plane. Don't care about speed just enough power to get to get to a few fishing spots. Any body know where I can get...
