right now i have the lower unit off and it has been drained of oil should i had oil to it for storage? until i can get back to it next spring? also should...

i bought this 1973 merc 1150 about a week ago.
after i got it home i could see that a few parts were missing :facepalm:
and the 3 wires that are coming out of the distributor have been cut and directly below the distributor
is a place that appears to have something missing ...it looks like...
