    Tachometer lead missing '68 65Hp

    I would like to install a Tach but the replacement Amplifier doesn't have a Grey lead. Can I use one of the yellow leads fron the stator or is there another source? Thanks!

    Distributor Plastic

    Anyone know the type of plastic a distributor is made from? One of my spark plug collars has chipped off one side. The rubber insulator still covers it but I want to glue the piece back on. $265 for a new one isn't going to happen

    Shift Linkage Slop?

    I'm looking to get some tips or pointers on shifting problems. Occasionaly I can't engage a gear and I'm guessing its "slop" in the linkage. The control box looks fine and even when trying to quickly shift from neutral to one gear or the other, I'm forced to select it manually at the motor...

    1968 65hp Evinrude The "eye" has broken off from the electric choke plunger/shaft. Not wanting to pay 100+ I thought I'd make one. Anyone know the correct length or best way to repair? Have a used one for sale?

    Broken bolts

    Removing the exhaust plate has resulted in 5 broken bolts. Daunting task I think:( Should I try to heat the block then use an EZ-out or just try to centerdrill all the bolts (5) out?:( http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm307/catch58/IMG_1261-1.jpg I've sprayed PB Blast on all the holes.
