I have a 1981 470 MerCruiser in a 21ft Caribbean. Engine generally in very good condition, however it dropped a big end bearing and subsequently damaged the journal beyond being able to machine and use undersize bearings. I would prefer to buy a new or used crankshaft rather than have mine...
