I just purchased a new boat and need a prop to troll with. Mercury 150 verado on a 18.5 reata. boat weighs about 3400 bare. with me and no extra gear, the rev 4 ss prop 14.5 with 19 pitch wot is 5850 rpm. speed is 47. also was koaded with 15 gals of gas with a 34 gal tank. wot range is 5800...
The trolling speed on my ranger boat is too high accept. with a rev 4 19 pitch prop; the slowest I can get it is 3.2 mph @ 680 rpm. this prop maxes out at 5850 rpm. I was looking into a bay pro prop. what pitch should I start at? bay pro 11 or 111? Or would a three blade pro work better...
