    Tach works at low rpm, sometimes

    my tach works at idle to low rpms only, and only this only sometimes. As tachs are pretty expensive to, any suggestions where to troubleshoot first? 1994 Johnson 140 in a 23' Hurricane.

    click-click from throttle housing, trim silences it

    I get a loud click-click from the throttle housing at mid/high speed. If I touch the trim tab it momentarily goes away. Any thoughts?

    140 V4 loop 1994 idle intermittent problems

    Will it idle or won't it? That is the question every time I go out (and every time I restart it). Rarely, my '94 Johnson 140 Looper won't have any problems. Sometimes, it will just not slow idle. Sometimes fast trolling around 1K to 1.3K it will go Da-Da-Da-Buh-Da-Da-Da-Buh... (I know, but...
