Identify the thread of this screw from my boat

I bought a pack of 10-24 x 3/4" and a pack of 10-24 x 1" in stainless from an Ebay seller, they fit the Tnuts I needed them to fit. Thought I should post how I got on, thanks for the advice.

    which carb to upgrade/replace too

Had a problem with a stuck anti-syphon valve on my boat's tank too, was advised to remove and clean it by some of the same people who have posted on this thread, fixed it. Before fixing it would run OK up to about half throttle but lean off or cut out if I gave it more throttle. IIrc there was a...

Trailer wheel bearings - standard or stainless

I ended up asking on a Rangerover forum if anyone in the US would be willing to send me some PE2015 1-1/16″SEAL [UFP] [198-138], someone is sending me 8, I obviously paid them for the parts and shipping, also some extra $ for beer money. Then I rememered my son and daughter in law are returning...

    which carb to upgrade/replace too

Bought a Holley carb rebuild kit for mine when I rebuilt the engine a couple of years ago, haven't done it yet because the carb seems fine. The only thing is it likes a little throttle to start it cold or hot.

Identify the thread of this screw from my boat

I know 3/16 is 0.1875 but thought #10 is 0.19", I think someone once told me there was a difference and a nut for one size might size might not work properly with a bolt from the other size (or vice/versa) even though there's only 0.0025" difference. I've also seen charts showing the #10 is...

Identify the thread of this screw from my boat

Thanks for the thread info. I knew Sir Joseph Whitworth helped standardise imperial measurement threads in the UK in 1841, BSP pipe threads are still commonly used and based on the Whitworth standard. I didn't know that in 1948 the UK, US and Canada agreed to use a common standard (the now...

Identify the thread of this screw from my boat

Sorry to mess you all about, the tpi pic above is misleading, my mistake. I just took 2 more pics... Caliper set to 1cm (10mm). It seems Scott is correct I had the caliper set to 1cm. It was a few days ago when I took the pics and I'd forgotten what I had it set to, I took a lot more pics at...

Seems to me one or more of: ignition isn't turning off properly hot spots in cylinders due to carbon build up plugs getting too hot (fouled / wrong heat range / over advanced timing) low octane fuel

Boat cover for FourWinns Sundowner to use when towing

I just called my dads old friend. He's been retired several years now but the company he started a long time ago that makes industrial machines is still doing well and he's still involved with it. I only called him for advice about buying an old sewing machine and how to sew canvas. He said...

Boat cover for FourWinns Sundowner to use when towing

I didn't expect to get a new one off a shelf but thought maybe some US manufacturers keep drawings / dimensions of covers for old boats and could make a cover to fit as good as the original. I'll phone around more canvas shops but last year when I enquired they all seemed to have waiting long...

Boat cover for FourWinns Sundowner to use when towing

My '95 Sundowner 205 (believe made in 2006) has a green canvas cover for use when trailering that clips to the boat using press studs around the bottom of the screen and down each side of the boat, it uses elastic clips to tie to the rear of the boat. Around the edges of the cover where the...

    cooking

A lot of H in LPG / propane so when you burn it you get a lot of H2O. I'm familiar because I convert vehicles to run on propane, at this time of year when it's cold and damp some converted vehicle owners worry about their engines if they get more steam out the exhaust from a cold start.
