    Yeah I'm not concerned if the cost but that it is in a very tight place uncomfortable to work and that after removing them to start having leaks, same as you I usually don't cut corners but in this case I'm thinking about that option.

    I believe this two are the live wells pumps we have a rear and a front. There's a third pump which is the bilge pump.     I didn't changed, I have the replacement but didn't had time to make the change, I see a good flow through the pee hole, any ways I think I will change it and the thermostat as well.

    Based on what I experience I think it's the thermostat, not opening at the temperature required on low RPMs then if REVing up the poppet valve seems to be working good, I will change the thermostat and try again.
