Hello experts.
Question, I have 2 70 hp johnsons. One is a 79 70973r and the other a 74 70473m. Are the carbs interchangeable? The 74 has some rust on the butterflies and my 79 carbs are in good shape. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Also, same question for the gearcases.

Need advice on replacing the motor mount hardware on this engine. The nuts on the steering arm are rusted down to about nothing. Ive found the replacement mounts and hardware on the net but if the powerheads gotta come off then Im sunk. Could i carefully remove the nuts and try to get new...
