I have 55hp johnson motor(not sure of year) on a 1984 24ft suntracker pontoon boat, that has a problem with the motor revving high when going forward. Slow forward is OK, but as I ease the throttle forward all the motor does is rev higher with no increase in speed. Is this a lower unit problem...
The numbers off the motor are 55P1OA, I am unable to figure it out from every thing I have read so far, also G7083407 if that helps any. Thanks in advance.
