I have a 1980 40 hp merc electic and manual start with a commander control, I believe,. It has a tach plug in on the control but Not sure if this motor has a charging system on it for the tach? Don't want to buy the harness and tach if it wont work.
Accidentally mixed lower unit oil with gas on my 80' 40hp 2 stroke mercury. Ran about 2 or 3 gallons of that gas through it. Darnbottles were the same color and in a hurry. Next time out seemed alright, dodged a bullet. But now hard to start cold..crank and crank then let it set for 15 mins. and...
