I need to replace the power head on my 1986 30hp Johnson. Since the one I have has tiny pieces of metal in the top cylinder and the crankshaft only turns about 1/2 way by hand diagnosing the problem was real easy this time. Does anybody know if a 1989 30hp power head would fit or what year/motor...
I had what I thought was a leaky upper crankshaft seal on a 67 Johnson 20 hp. I split the crankcase and changed the seal.

Anybody know if the electric starter and bracket and choke solenoid from a 20hp 1967 Johnson will fit a 20hp 1970 Johnson? I have a 67 that may be too much to repair and am looking a 1970 vintage manual start version that I would consider buying if the electric start parts from my 67 will fit it.
