    That was a huge project to design, build, and install the engine bracket. It’s a big accomplishment by itself then add in the upholestry work and other odd household jobs and it’s significant accomplishment.

    My speedometer hose was behind the water hose from the factory, I put it back the same way. I’ve had better luck with the exhaust bellow going on dry. Just my experience.

    I do like the PVC boards in the bilge. The boards will be a much more comfortable working surface than some alternatives. Hopefully you won’t be in the bilge much once you wrap this project up.

    No water came out due to the fact there wasn’t any water pressure to push it out. Best case it’s just the flappers and rubber couplers that need changed. Worst case the engine overheated.

    This is an immense amount of work and I commend you for your attention to detail and the amount of research you’ve put into it. Your drawings are professional and I hope the N.A. was impressed with your knowledge and skill set. I’ll wager a guess at 412lbs.

    Since you have the engine out, I’d just swap the cover. Re-seal the oil pan after verifying with a straight edge that the mounting surface isn’t warped.     If it’s the crank seal in the timing cover that’s an easy fix. Remove the balancer with the proper tool, you can rent from an auto parts store.     With the engine in the hardest part of the gear lube fitting is putting the e-clip back on. It can be a pain depending on how much access you have.
