hey guys,
I have a 1967 9.5 evinrude sportwin,
I took my powerhead off the lower unit since I had to replace the exhaust housing gasket, and in doing so the retainer seal popped off and now I dont know how to re-install it.
could you help me out.
im trying to figure it out but im having a hard...
The hole in this picture seem to blowing out exhaust from it since the cowling is covered of exhaust residue in that area(back middle of the cowling .Is this normal? or should there be a plug there to stop exhaust coming back into the cowling.

needle valve adjustement does nothing, pumping the buld doesnt seem to do anything,
but if I hold the chock half...
