    1997- 150hp merc.efi.

    the stater and flywheel are both turning like normal... The normal "chirp noise " that it makes when you turn the key is not making that noise anymore, i do hear a high pitch noise... could this be something with the detonator sensor? Thanks for any help! Crazy she fired right up and ran great...

    the motor ran fine on monday, went to run her this morning and the first thing i notice that the "chirp noise " that i usaully hear when i turn the key is'nt chirping anymore .All i here is a very high pitched sound coming from the motor.
