    I can’t seem to locate the manual for my exact motor. How similar is a 1960 4VSL-12 to a 63 4VAL-15E? Can find those manuals all day long but would hate to get something that isn’t compatible.

    Hi all! New boat owner here, recently purchased a 1963 Crestliner Del Rio with this Johnson motor (4VAL-15E). Boat is all cleaned up and the motor runs (smokes A LOT). I have reverse in the boat but forward gear does not seem to engage. Looks to me like a problem with the throttle cable not...
