i have a 64 johnson 40 horse. have it running like new until in the water in gear will not power up lift the boat just slow steady trowing speed. cleaned carb. fuel pump had some crap in it cleaned all really good. new plugs set gap good spark and compression mix fuel 50:1 all fuel lines good...
