    I have an occasional skip in my evinrude!! Can it be low octane gas?

    Does anyone have any history on the Evinrude Intruder Spitfire series motors? Are they a good one to have or a bad one? If any, what are some common problems they have? I have a 1992 175hp!<br />Thanks for any input!!

    Skippin' Intruder!!

    I have a 1992-175hp--Evinrude Intruder Spitfire Series. I put the correct plugs in it and an occasional skip comes back. I can be running around 4500rpm and it'll start, slow down to and idle and start back up and it's gone. Sometimes even on a first run of the day it'll start skipping...
