I have a 1987 Mercury 35 hp outboard and need a starter and a few other items . Does anyone know how many years these motors were made the same , as far as interchanging parts . I found a starter from a 70's motor , don't know if it would fit or not.
What would it take to go from a remote 35hp merc to a remote 25hp johnson ? I don't know if the steering cables would be the same or not . The control box may need changed , or not ???? I have a 16 ft Tracker that i am thinking of doing this on .
