    1988 9.9 merc carb problem ?

    I have a 1988 9.9 merc that starts well and idles good . Upon acelleration it wants to be sluggish until it gets to about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle then runs fine all the way to top end . I have tried choking it which does not help . Any help would be appreciated . There is a brass screw near the top...

    I have a 1975 johnson short shaft motor and want to convert to long shaft . How many splines does the driveshaft have and will a early 1990 conversion kit fit it ? thanks ....Dale

    I have a 1975 15hp Johnson . Will a 1993 extension kit work on my motor ? If not, What years will work ? One gentleman said that He did not know if the drive shaft splines are the same ...Thanks for any help......Dale
