    OK , whats the trick to install the fuel pump ? Had the wrong one and now trying to install the new one. Cannot get it to seat up to the block? any positive comments very welcome . Thanks

    1988 165hp Fuel Pump

    I have a fuel pump on a 165hp Mercruiser that looks like it's on the engine upside-down. The flanges are opposite, could it be a fuel pump off another engine? In pics of other fuel pumps, they are upside-down compared to how this one is mounted. I would appreciated any input, please. Thanks...
