Ok, I have a 140 Merc i/o 1987 vintage gm 4cyl block. We couldnt get it up to speed, so we replaced distributor... that didnt help. Sooo we tore the head off, put a new head gasket on after finding water in the oil. put it back together with a new gasket on the intake/exhaust manifold...
