After searching on stringers most of the posts seemed to suggest any glass boat more than 15 years is likely going to have rotten stringers. Is this generally true? Are there any brands of boats that are less prone to stringer rot?

Saw this ad and need your opinions. Is this installation technically difficult? If not any reason why the owner would not finish after all the new parts?
Part of the Mercury trouble shooting manual states "Check the DVA output on the green wires from the switch box while connected to the ignition coils. Check the reading on the switch box and on the ignition coil terminal. You should have a reading of 150V or more at both terminals." I checked...
