    mercruiser prop shaft question

    i have a 1989 alpha one drive 5.7 it's working fine now but notice that my prop shaft can move in and out maybe as much as a 1/4 inch my question is is that ok ? should i be conserned get it looked at ? or is it going to fly apart next time i use it ?

    propeler shaft alpha one

    i have a 1989 alpha one out drive (350 eng) i don't know if this is a problem but i notice that the prop shaft can move in and out approx 1/8 to 1/4 inch is that normal or is this bad !!!! it's still working fine thanks geo
