I have been offered a used Mercury Verado 150 serial number OP 486877 Is it a 2nd generation Verado? Seller states that it purchased in September 2008.

My Enertia propeller looks terrible after only 11 days of use getting rough in the surface. Are the "new super-strong X7 stainless steel alloy" not for use in saltwater? Will the corrosion affect the performance and durability?
