Lately, the tach on my Yammie 60 is going nuts sometimes. It will race to the max, go down, go up, then settle on the rpm and not every time I go out. Can this thing be lubed, or is it an electronic sending unit?
I bought a low hours Yamaha 2000 C60TLR and know the oil mix is 50:1, but how many oz of oil per gallon is 50:1 for this engine I am told each manufacturer has a different mix of oz per gallon to get 50:1 for their engines.? I bought an oil mix bottle, but stupidly did not read the data on it...
I have a black prop on my C60TLRY and the paint is really wearing off. This may be a really stupid question, but if I take all the paint off can the prop be highly polished ie., is it stainless steel?
I Have a 2000 C60TLRY and have always noticed a small covered port on the side of the engine, which looks as though a tilt/trim switch could be installed there. Am I correct and if so, where in the heck would I buy such a switch? Help is appreciated.
This may be a stupid question, but is the plastic cover over the three carbs an air filter, which needs periodic change, or just a conduit for air flow. The part name is a Silencer Assembly Intake.

I have a C60 Yammie on a 2002 G3 Pro 175 aluminum boat and every post I have read on other forums on my rig indicates speeds ranging from 36-38 mph. My top end with a full tank (21 gal) me and my gear is 32.6 GPS at 5500 rpm. My cavitation plate is even with the bottom of the hull.
