New Merecruiser owner but previously owner a Mercury O/B and never had the issue I have here. Just bought boat from a friend. 2006 still under warranty.
Basically, the problem is I am idling and running full speed 200 RPM higher than stated in the manual (i.e. idle at 900 and running at 5000)...
