    no towing power

    115 in line 6 mercury 1978 runs fine with no one on tube or skiis as soon as you try to pull a tube with someone it has no pulling power but when turning sharp and creating slack in the rope it revs up no problem and then once again when rope is taught it bogs down no power at all, any advice...

    max rpms, loss of power

    hi there , ihave a 1978 1150 115 hp merc ,on a 16 foot sunray bowrider my mnual for the motor says it should max out at 5500 rpms , however i am only getting up to 4100 at full throttle and topspeed is 30 mph , i dont think this is running at its full potential . could someone please tell me...
