A question many will know, but I have no idea how to look up the reference... My 1972 25252R 25 hp lower unit is completely bad. I found a listing for a 1976 lower unit and was wondering if it would fit my motor. Any help would be appreciated.
My mercury outboard (Tiller steer) does not have a sn plate on the side of the transom mount. Instead, it is on the front, round plate where starting instructions and such are. There are only numbers in this serial number : 4061800. I know this engine is a 20hp, and has a top cover with "200"...
