    89 2.3l questions

    first is the distributer, i have the breaker plate off and while holding the gear at the bottom and trying to spin the lobes it moves in either direction but gets stuck. my question is i have a stumble and miss. the timing isnt steady it moves around from 18-22, w.o.t. runs fine no miss i notice...

    i check and regapped the points, changed plug wires, plugs, coil, water seperator, fuel filter, rebuilt the carb. i am out of ideas it starts right up runs stumbles for a split second runs, when i advance the throttle it hesitates then takes off, if i cruise it at about 2500 rpms it will run...
