I have a 1979 Johnson 235. The tilt up works fine but the unit will not tilt down. From any tilt up position, when the tilt down is activated, the trim/tilt motor operates and the motor tilts about a 1/4" then stops moving even with the tilt/trim motor operating. I can tilt down with the manual...
