I removed the top cover, with the fill plug and cannot get it reinstalled, the gears match up with the flat spot on the matching gear, but cant get the shoulder and o ring to seat down in. It came off easy, but not going on as easy I dont want to force anything to hard.Any clues out there?
1984 229 ci omc stringer 800, Stearing is very hard, im trying to remove the rear cable drum unit off the intermediate to see if its the cable or troubles beyond in the outdrive, manual shows a retaining screw i assume tightens against the stearing shaft, cant see it but feel something...
