Subject: 2001 Nissan 30 hp 2 stroke long shaft. How difficult is it to change the water pump on this engine ? I know about unbolting the lower unit but whats the next step after that. something have to be disconnected before the unit drops out or will it drop after undoing the nuts and bolts...
I'm going to replace my water pump on a 2001 Nissan 30 hp 2 stroke. Question: is it necessary to replace any gaskets or seals upon re assembly of the lower unit ? Or can I just use the old ones ?
Thanks
Don
Anybody know where I can buy a tach. for my 2001 30hp 2 stroke Nissan outboard. I prefer "plug and play" as to having to go to electronic class for hookup.
Thanks
Don
I'm going to use a long shaft 30 hp nissan on a boat made for a short shaft. The marine repair guy is going to build up the transom to acommodate this. Any problems that anyone can see here ? Has anyone done this with success. Or is it a bad idea and would a jack plate be better.
