Hey just reinstalled a used lower and did maintenance, everything went fine but is having issues shifting or making a adjustment on the shift cam. When I got it out on the water neutral seem to engage the motor forward and it wasnt idling still. When I shift forward it will throttle the boat...
Does anyone know to remove or free a drive shaft from a force 120? I already got to the gear pinion and remover the nut on the end of it but the shaft wont budge at all. Any tricks or tools that I need to free it from the gear case?:confused:
I currently have a 1996 Force 120, the lower unit recently has been damage beyond repair coming from a diagnosis by marine tech. The cost for a new remanufactured unit is $3000 and I'm not looking to spend what I actually bought the boat for. I found a couple units on ebay and craigslist...
