I have a 97 40hp Yamaha and left dock fine but when got about 1/4 to 1/3 throttle it seemed to drop back to neutral... when I backed throttle to idle speed, prop rotated but stopped again when I increased back to 1/4 throttle... also, water pump quit. Does this sound like a lower gear problem...
