    Probably 10 feet from battery to motor. Trolling motor is 46# thrust. I don't know how much current it draws.

    Battery upgrade on Kayak

    I recently upgraded my trolling motor battery from 40Ah to 100Ah. I re-ran the wiring so to locate the battery in the front of the kayak. I used 10G wire. Also, it is still on a 50Amp auto reset fuse. Do I need heavier wiring? and what size fuse? Auto reset or manual? thanks in advance, coronagyrl
