I checked the compression on my motor both cylinders were 60psi I put a little oil because it has been sitting up a while, I pulled it a couple times let it set and came back later and checked it and it almost doubled 110-115psi could this be just because the rings are in poor shape and...
I need to know how much pressure each cylinder is supposed to have and do you pull the rope once or twice before you read the gauge ?? I know I need to get a manual,but I'm trying to see if this motor is worth salvaging before spending money
I have been having trouble finding the serial number,I beleive I located it on the side of the block 8473920 80hp Mercury I will post pictures if needed
