Fun fact: In 1995 Ford's SVT division hand selected and pulled 250 of these short blocks from the marine division for the 1995 Cobra R because they had truer bores after sonic testing. The GT40 heads and lower intakes are exactly the same as the Cobra R and the 1995 Lightning as well. These marine engines and the Lightning also share the same cam. The Cobra R has a slightly different cam that takes these from 280HP to 300HP.
