    80-82 Suzuki DT 50 lower unit compatability

    I have 2 suzuki DT 50's. Blue motors with white tops. They both run well but have bad lower units. One is a J model lower unit and the other is the VZ model. Are either of these motors compatable with more recent Suzuki motors, like the grey ones? cds

    81&82 Suz dt50 lower unit compatability

    I have 2 Suzuki DT 50 motors. 1 has the J lower unit. One has the VZ lower unit. Both lower units are no good. These are teh blue 2 cylinder motors. Are there any newer suzuki lower unit models that are compatable with either engine? The motors run great but neither will turn a prop. cds
